Bret Schulte is an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Arkansas teaching reporting, writing, and multimedia storytelling. He’s used WordPress for two years, requiring students to use WordPress blogs for online publishing. Schulte and UA art professor Tom Hapgood developed the online magazine Arkansas Angle, a student-produced multimedia news source powered by WordPress.
Schulte was a reporter for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, The Washington Post, and U.S. News & World Report. He now freelances for such magazines as American Journalism Review and Columbia Journalism Review. He joined the University of Arkansas in 2008.
