Julie McQuade

Julie McQuade is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She has been called the “Go-To Person for Getting Involved (in Fayetteville)“. As Community Outreach Coordinator, she has a wide variety of responsibilities including communication, public education, and making connections in order to address the needs of the community. Community outreach from a city government perspective frequently focuses on neighborhoods, citizen participation, and volunteerism. Julie uses her two decades of design experience and more recently her WordPress knowledge to create effective communication and engagement tools for the Fayetteville community.

Julie serves as designer and editor of the City of Fayetteville E-Newsletter Editor, in-house designer and social media guru. She was designer, developer, and project manager for the city’s community engagement website, Accesscommunitylink.org , which was launched in August 2011.

In addition to her role at the City of Fayetteville, Julie serves on the  board of directors for the Ozark Literacy Council, Pigshibition Event Committee, and on the Fayetteville Public School District Coordinated Health Board. She spends her free time doing online genealogy research, painting, and remodeling her home. She shares stories of her interests and experiences on her personal blog,  juliemcquade.com .
