Angela Belford

Angela Belford returns to WordCamp Fayetteville to share her knowledge of analytics and how they create success for any blog or website. Her wit and expertise made Angela one of the most popular speakers last year as she gave life to a subject most might consider dry—Google Analytics. Angela co-owns The Belford Group with husband, Barry. The Belford Group uses WordPress extensively for client websites and blogs. Angela has a Master’s Degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management from the University of Arkansas.  She is also in the midst of launching her speaking career, which allows her to share her ideas and expertise with a wide variety of groups.

Angie Albright

Angie Albright is a professional writer and happily indulges her techy self by working in a marketing and web development agency. She is the author A Growing Season, a blog which allows her to productively channel her obsession with WordPress, social media and good grammar. She also writes for several area publications, and creating web content is a regular part of her duties as a Project Manager at The Belford Group.

Angie has a long background in teaching college English. She did her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Arkansas in English. A few years ago she moved into nonprofit and small business management. She is a vocal advocate for using technology to enhance communication and build relationships.

Ben Pollock

Ben Pollock is an eight-year WordPress enthusiast, more content- than code-oriented. He is a copy editor/page designer for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Northwest Edition. On the Web, he is Director of Online Media for the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, columnists.com. Ben manages other sites; his is benpollock.com. He lives in Fayetteville with his wife and their critters.

Brenda Baskin

Brenda Baskin is a freelance writer and an avid blogger whose work has been featured on WordPress’ “Freshly Pressed.” Her articles and essays have been published in various newspapers, magazines and websites. A semi-professional smart aleck, her one-liners have been printed on lapel buttons, t-shirts, bumper stickers and Post-It Notes across the universe. Well, across the country anyway.

Originally from Memphis, she now lives in NW Arkansas with her oh-so-cool musician husband, Steve, and a tiny Wonderdog named Theo.  Her newest blog is currently under construction: www.amillionotherpeople.wordpress.com.

Collin Condray

Collin is a professional web developer with over 15 years of experience. He has also worked in the retail analysis field as a business analyst for 3M and Tyson Foods. Additionally, he also been a director of retail strategy for Collective Bias, and a digital strategist at Saatchi X. Collin combines a thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of creating and programming websites with his business experience to apply the right piece of programming on Blue Zoo Websites to enable you to concentrate on your business and not on the technology. For the past two years, Collin has focused on Social Media, locations based services, and digital advertising strategies and has presented to many businesses, at the U of A, and smaller organizations.

Corey Miller

Cory Miller (that’s me) is a passionate entrepreneur who believes in finding and maintaining work happiness (for himself and others) that aligns with your purpose and plays to your strengths, talents and ambitions, while challenging you to do great things with your life.

Cotton Rohrscheib

ADHD WordPress fanboy, partner and co-founder of Pleth, LLC (Batesville, Conway, Jonesboro), involved in the industry for over a decade and have been a part of numerous startups and launched hundreds of client projects. In addition to building websites I’m a brand new dad!!!

Dustin Williams

Dustin started life as a developer, which influences his design. He draws on keen understanding, experience, seeing, and confidence to design with clean lines and strong user focus. Dustin has worked for many Fortune 500 companies, often employing user research to focus on usability. One of those companies being Microsoft. Dustin was recruited to work with Microsoft (Pioneer Studios Seattle) to help develop the User Interface and Design Language for Microsoft’s KIN Mobile Device.

Dustin has been an expert in Web Design, User Experience, and Visual Design for over 12 years. He has been privileged to have either worked with Microsoft E&D, Microsoft Zune, Microsoft PMX, Microsoft Mobile, TEAGUE (Seattle) and other influential companies.

Dustin is currently the Director of User Experience at Acumen Holdings in Northwest Arkansas.

 

Eleanor Evans

Once an award-winning journalist, Eleanor Evans of Rogers has been writing and maintaining web sites since 1995. Her web site, bellesouthblogs.com, is part of a dynamic social-media presence that includes reviews, sponsored content and consumer information. Her web site generates more than 20,000 views per month and is read by more than 9,000 people all over the world.  Eleanor has focused her career on social media marketing since 2009 and has worked with dozens of brands including Revlon, SodaStream, All You Magazine and Coca-Cola.

Eric Huber

Eric’s 25 year career in marketing, advertising, and graphic design for small businesses, a Fortune 100 company, and international organizations brings the visual aspect to Blue Zoo Creative. “Graphic Design is not art, but uses art and imagery to elicit a specific response from people. Whether it’s to buy a car, use your service, or join a cause, graphic design has measurable results when done correctly,” he says. His belief is that you can use the latest trends to look good and still create effective marketing with tried and true techniques.

Eric has lived in Northwest Arkansas since 1990 except for a short 5 year stint in Paris (Arkansas). He was a co-founder of Vulcan Creative Labs, the Northwest Arkansas Art Directors Club, and helped manage the Fayetteville Film Fest and Eureka Springs Digital Film Fest. Eric is also, currently, a part-time instructor and board member for the New Design School in Fayetteville, Arkansas helping train the next generation of graphic designers.

Jamie Smith

Jamie Smith’s writing career began in print newspaper journalism and has broadened to include corporate and personal blogging, social media content writing and web copy writing. Jamie is the staff writer at The Belford Group and she continues to work as a freelance reporter for the online news publication The City Wire.

Jamie’s experience with WordPress spans about four years and includes multi-author sites, corporate blogs, personal blogs and business websites. She’s become adept in writing to capture the attention of web spiders and the reader with both her words and style of writing.

When not working, Jamie loves spending time with her growing family that now includes husband John and their two dogs and two cats. She’s an avid scrapbooker, saying that it’s the only “crafty” thing she’s ever been able to make with her hands.

This is Jamie’s third year to participate on the WordCamp Fayetteville planning committee and she loves seeing it grow every year.

Jay Thornton

Jennifer Ramsey

Jennifer Ramsey holds a Masters in Communications from Wichita State University.  She teaches business and professional communications at the college level.   After attending WCFAY 2010 she began using WordPress as a CMS system for her own websites and occasional blogging hobbies.  Within a few months she began training small business owners to do the same and has now founded Desert Rose Communications (a coaching and consulting company in media relations).  WordPress has not only helped her to establish a presence online but she has also been hired as an employee as a result of the presence and skills her sites have brought her in Midland Texas.  Jennifer is looking forward to returning to Fayetteville to meet new friends and grow in her WordPress skills.

Jessica Capps

Jessica Capps is the Marketing Coordinator for the Community Clinic in Northwest Arkansas. She handles, creates and maintains the marketing, inventory and design for all things Community Clinic. “Helping people lead healthy lives by providing healthcare for all in Northwest Arkansas.”

Jessica also serves on the board of directors for Arts Live Theatre, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Arts Live Theatre is the region’s only dedicated children’s and youth theatre company.  Jessica also served on the Marketing Committee for the 2012 Northwest Arkansas Cancer Challenge

Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Central Arkansas and has been in graphic design & marketing for over 11 year, lending her expertise as Creative Services Director of the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce, and Graphic Designer for both God’s World Book Club and the Budgetext Corporation. She maintains a number of websites, including www.communityclinic.com and www.beaufoundation.org.

Johnathon Williams

Johnathon Williams is the owner and operator of Odd Jar, a design & development shop that specializes in hand-crafted WordPress sites. A resident of Fayetteville, he ships code for clients all over the world.

Josepha Haden

Josepha Haden is trained in analysis and customer care to provide tailored, consumer aware marketing strategies. She’s currently a full-time in house analyst/strategist for a multinational interactive marketing agency, as well as a member of the Haden Interactive team.

Julie McQuade

Julie McQuade is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She has been called the “Go-To Person for Getting Involved (in Fayetteville)“. As Community Outreach Coordinator, she has a wide variety of responsibilities including communication, public education, and making connections in order to address the needs of the community. Community outreach from a city government perspective frequently focuses on neighborhoods, citizen participation, and volunteerism. Julie uses her two decades of design experience and more recently her WordPress knowledge to create effective communication and engagement tools for the Fayetteville community.

Julie serves as designer and editor of the City of Fayetteville E-Newsletter Editor, in-house designer and social media guru. She was designer, developer, and project manager for the city’s community engagement website, Accesscommunitylink.org , which was launched in August 2011.

In addition to her role at the City of Fayetteville, Julie serves on the  board of directors for the Ozark Literacy Council, Pigshibition Event Committee, and on the Fayetteville Public School District Coordinated Health Board. She spends her free time doing online genealogy research, painting, and remodeling her home. She shares stories of her interests and experiences on her personal blog,  juliemcquade.com .

Kimanzi Constable

Last year, Kimanzi Constable self-published two eBooks and to date has sold over 30,000 copies using only his two WordPress websites and social media. The second self-published book has now been picked up by major publisher and will be in print this winter!

He is an international speaker traveling all over the country teaching people how to harness the power of their story to get heard above all the noise online. He is a lover of WordPress and all the things WordPress makes possible for the “little guy”!

Kyle Judkins

Kyle Judkins is the Founder and Owner of the multi-author blog LostInTechnology http://www.lostintechnology.com/. He’s built up a large following while working full time in social media marketing. Kyle takes a lot of pride in the fact that he’s a former Industrial Engineer that’s developed a whole new skill set to become a Blogger and Digital Marketer.

Kyle is also about to launch Starting Up WordPress http://www.startingupwordpress.com/ to help anyone get going and grow something from WordPress, because he’s always very excited to talk about and show how much of an impact WordPress can make to whatever you do online or offline.

Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith is an award winning web designer from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He loves to drop knowledge on people when it comes to design and how to make ideas come alive. Kyle spends his days as a Web Designer at Griffin New Media. While there, he’s has had the opportunity to work on some of the biggest websites in the area. His biggest accomplishment thus far in life is making the Front Page of Reddit 4 times. (Which he would like to thank his Boss’ travel agent for making possible.) Kyle hates writing in the 3rd person more than anything else. Oh, he also has an art degree, apparently.

Lela Davidson

Lela Davidson has built a multi-media career on everyday humor and candid observations. Lela is an award-winning author and essayist (Blacklisted from the PTA, 2011), a freelance journalist and commentator for TODAY Show Moms, a video correspondent for iVillage iVoices. Lela is also founding partner of Peekaboo Media, a women’s media and marketing agency. She is an entertaining professional speaker, who charms audiences on topics ranging from marketing and social media to family life, marriage, and the challenges of being over-40 in a Botox world. Lela appears regularly on television and serves as Associate Editor of Peekaboo magazine. Her humorous, inspirational essays have appeared in hundreds of family and parenting magazines throughout North America, and in Chicken Soup for the Soul: New Moms. Her book marketing advice has been featured in Writer’s Digest.

Megan Perez

Megan is the coordinator of this year’s WordPress 101 Track for Beginners. He has been working with WP since 2006 and designed sites for national associations, non-profit organizations, small businesses and religious organizations.  He now works as the Client Services Manager for Sharp Hue Web Design where he escorts clients through the entire web design process from contract to launch.

His concluding session at the end of the Beginners’ track will be a debriefing of the day’s topics and introduction to concepts not covered (scraping, FeedBurner, online newsletters, PayPal buttons, user management, shortcodes, hosting, free resources, interest groups and more).  The session will also leave room for a Q&A period.

 

Otto

Samuel Wood, better known to the WordPress community as “Otto”, lives in Memphis, Tennessee, the Birthplace of Rock and Roll. Otto is a Tech Ninja at Audrey Capital, Matt Mullenweg¹s investment and research company. When not hacking away at WordPress or working on the WordPress.org website, he spends his time homebrewing or scuba diving or searching out the best BBQ he can find, which he will always say is in Memphis.

Rebecca Haden

Rebecca Haden is the owner of Haden Interactive, a content-based web firm. She combines science (her M.A. is in Linguistics) with art (she’s a full time writer) to create strategic communication for the web, helping site owners leverage the power of the internet to reach their goals. Haden Interactive serves clients on four continents with web content,linkbuilding, social media, and analytics.

Shan Pesaru

Shan is CEO of Sharp Hue: a web design, development, and hosting firm that he founded in 2006 (Fayetteville, AR). Sharp Hue helps small businesses with the visual appeal and usability of their sites by designing pixel-perfect custom themes for WordPress. Shan has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Arkansas.

Shelley Keith

Shelley has served as conference co-chair for the HighEdWeb Arkansas regional conference for the last three years and on the program committee for the national HighEdWeb conference for six. She was the technical reviewer for Beginning WordPress 3.0 by Stephanie Leary, recently produced and led a HigherEd Experts webinar on WordPress in higher ed, presented a half-day WordPress workshop in October at the national HighEdWeb conference, and spoke about WordPress mobile tools at the Penn State Web Conference in 2012.

Stephanie McCratic

Stephanie McCratic is a mommy blogger turned social media pro. As the head of social media marketing efforts for the Fayetteville-based e-commerce company Acumen brands, and creator of the popular EvolvedMommy.com blog, where she talks about tech trends, tips and gadgets, she is passionate about this new media world of small-scale journalists.

Tom Lewandowski

Tom is Addiction Counselor / Mental Health Blogger for Nelson Counseling. Tom’s professional experience includes work with children, teens, and young adults, and adults. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University and is currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work program at the University of Arkansas. Tom develops personal connections with his clients through his love of music, culture, and life. Clients appreciate Tom’s easy-going manner, non-judgmental attitude, and tenacity. He never gives up on his clients, even if they have given up on themselves.

Tom’s personal interests include nature and music.

Will Collins

Founding Principal of Archetype Productions, a multi-disciplinary design studio located in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas, Will Collins earned his bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Arkansas in 2007. A self-taught musician and graphic designer with Southern roots and international curiosity, Collins is driven to deliver human-centered, intentional brand experiences through interactive web, print, film, products and applications. He has used WordPress and open-source development tools to create story-rich, utilitarian designs for beloved local businesses like Petra Café, Arsaga’s and Kathy Thompson’s HBoxes, as well as global brands like Gnarly Head Wines, Bota Box and Sam’s Club.

In 2010 Archetype Productions was one of only 100 companies across the United States selected by British Airways to receive a business opportunity grant to fly to London, UK, for a global face-to-face networking conference. He founded Hipstee, an online apparel company “designing hip to a tee” and pop-up shop coming to Mountain Street off the Downtown Square in Fayetteville.
